Nalut

Nalut

Things to do - general

The Qasr of Nalut is (probably) the most significant one amount this type architecture. An English writer has described this type of buildings as: “Crumbling Berber architecture”. The age of such Qasrs dates back to around 800 years ago, they all were surrounded by small ancient houses which became ruins today and only a sigh to how they were at that time and how simply they were done. The main purpose for all those Qasrs is to store crops like wheat and parley, there are lots of them spread over the Jabal Nafusa area.
